Trujillo Meadows has several things going for it that a lot of other campgrounds do not have. For instance the lower loop offers a relaxing view of Trujillo Reservoir which has some pretty nice trout in it. The reservoir can be reached by a short trail down to the dam, a steep climb down hill or a drive down to the boat dock where a nice fishing area and restroom can be found.
Trujillo Meadows Campground has its own waterfall and observation deck. There is parking for visitors to park while they walk down a short group of steps to the deck. The fall is approximately 20 to 30 feet tall and it is soothing to watch and listen to.
Another thing that makes Trujillo Meadows popular is there is only first come first serve camping there. No pesky reservations to worry about.
