Silver Thread Campground is located about 28 miles north of Creede, Colorado on Highway 149 in Hinsdale County. It's in the Rio Grande National Forest.
The campground sits at 9,300 feet elevation among pines and aspens (or quakies as they're often called). There is a short trail that leads to South Clear Creek Falls, which is worth the hike.
The campground has 10 sites with tent spots and both pull thru and back-in parking spurs which can accommodate the larger RV's. Water is available as well as toilets and dumpsters. Each site has a table, fire ring and grill.
All sites are available on a first come, first served basis. You can see the campground's location on Google maps by visiting our page for Silver Thread.
