Thirty miles north of Newport, Washington on LeClerc Road is where the Panhandle Adventure begins.
When you head out for Panhandle Campground, don't forget it is BYOB-Bring Your Own Boat. This intimate campground (tents and RV's of any size are welcome) lies next to the Pend Oreille River, opening doors for freshwater adventures. Boaters can start their day from the campground's own boat launch. Tubers, kayakers, and paddleboard enthusiasts can plop in the river just steps away from their campsites.
Fisherman can catch bass and trout in the river and nearby streams. If you just want to kick back and watch the birds overhead, check out the wetlands on the south end of the campground.
Fresh potable water, bear proof food storage containers, trash containers and vault toilets are located in the campground.
Come join us at Panhandle Campground in the Colville National Forest and add to your Forever Memories.
Reservations are available thru recreation.gov. You can learn more at www.sceniccanyons.com/panhandle.
