Idaho Panhandle National Forests

Honeysuckle Campground

Honeysuckle Campground is situated in a remote, wooded setting at the confluence of Deception Creek and the Little North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River, 22 miles from Coeur d’Alene, ID.  It consists of seven single sites, but is rented as a group area for up to 50 people.

 

Prices:

    $75 for entire campground

 

Reservations: Available at recreation.gov.

 

Directions: From Coeur d’Alene, travel 11 miles northeast on the paved Fernan Lake Road #268 for approximately 11 miles. (After about 4 miles the road will turn to gravel). Continue on Forest Road #612 for another 11 miles and the campground will be on your left.  See map below.

 

Open Dates: Opens the Friday before Memorial Day, closes on the last Monday in September at noon. For the most current season dates, visit recreation.gov.

 

Amenities: Drinking water from a hand pump, vault toilets, bear-resistant garbage cans. Road and parking spurs are paved.

 

Nearby: The town of Coeur d’Alene offers various tourist attractions.
